Ashlyn's Dance Recital

Miss Annie had her end of year dance recital at Sky View on 04/15/2010. Ashlyn was so excited to go on the stage and dance. From the moment that she woke up she was wanting to put her costume on. She looked so cute and did an amazing job. We are so proud of her.

April Update: Easter

The kids went to a couple of Easter Egg Hunts this year. We started out at KMart which I will never do again. There were soooooooooo many people there. Then we took Riley to the bowling alley so that he could bowl for the "Logan Lane PeeWee's". We headed to the mall and I was surprised at how organized the hunts were. Then we went to both Lee's. Crazy! The kids had lots of fun looking at what the Easter Bunny bought them and they love the Easter Egg Hunts. Emma wasn't too sure about the eggs but she let me get a few cute pictures. Steve's parents had their annual Easter Party at their house. We went to th church on Main St in Hyde Park and the kids had an Easter Egg Hunt. Then we had dinner, had our Family Night lesson, and the kids go to go to the Easter Store. We had an amazingly fun Easter weekend.

A new toy for Emma!

The first part of April my SIL Melissa let me borrow her exer saucer??. I was hoping that Emma would love it and that I wouldn't have to hold her all day. She loved it but for no longer than 5 minutes. Oh well. It was worth a try!

March Updates

In March Emma had tubes put in her ears. We took her to the hospital on 03/25/2010 at 7 in the morning. They had us wait for at least an hour before they came and took her. The whole surgery lasted 10 minutes and she was in recovery for 15 minutes. When they brought her to us she was screaming. I held her, rocked her, walked with her, fed her water. None of this helped to calm her down. After what seemed like hours (probably 20 minutes) she calmed down. She had to be able to eat and keep down a little bit of her bottle before they would let her leave. I was told that she would sleep "all day" and that she would be a little grumpy. She slept for maybe an hour and then she was happy as can be the rest of the day. I am so glad that we had this done and that her ears are working the way they should be.
