Bowling

Steve and his brothers bowled in Albuquerque this year. We left on May 6th and got home on May 11th. We had so much fun. We stopped at the Four Corners and took pictures. It was really windy and it was raining so it was a real quick stop.

On May 7th we went to the Aquarium, Zoo, and Botanical Garden. The kids had lots of fun. There was a train that we could ride from the Aquarium to the zoo and the kids loved it.

Riley and Hunter got to ride a Camel. They thought that was pretty cool.

That night Steve's dad bowled and we went and watched him. The kids love to watch their grandpa bowl.

The next morning we had our "yummy hotel breakfast" and then we went to Old Town. It was a really cool place. Lots of old buildings. They had lots of stores in the buildings.

We walked through a church. I believe it was a Catholic Church. It was crazy the difference between an LDS church and that church.

After Old Town it was time for the Boys and Girl to bowl. Steve, Scott, Brian, David, and Steve's mom MaryLynn bowled Team's on Thursday @ 2:30 pm. They had tons of fun. I think they are all amazing that they bowled in the tournament.

EARLY Friday morning we all headed to the Convention Center for the last day of bowling. They had to be there at 6:30 am. Way too early. They all did great in Singles and Doubles. Steve bowled awesome this day.
We left right after they bowled and went to Flagstaff, AZ and spent the night there. Then we headed to the Grand Canyon. We stopped in this little town and they had a Flinstone Restaurant and place to park a trailer.

The Grand Canyon was so much fun. I am glad that we decided to go there. The kids each got a shirt. Riley loves his shirt because it has a donkey on it. I bought a little cactus plant for part of Mom's Mother's Day present.

From the Grand Canyon we went to Page, AZ and spent the night. I didn't realize that we were so close to Lake Powell. We stopped and Steve took Riley down to the water while I watched Ashlyn. Our next stop was at Cove Fort. That was probably one of my favorite stops. It was amazing to learn about Pres. Hinckley's family and about the fort.

We were so excited to be home. Going away to a big city truly makes you grateful for where you live. Now it is back to everyday life.
