Yesterday was a perfect day. It was the day that we blessed our beautiful baby girl. She was blessed by her Grandpa. We are so grateful for those who were able share her day with us.

Halloween

This year Riley decided to be Spider Man and Ashlyn wanted to be Tinker Bell. Steve took the kids to Lee's and a few other stops to trick or treat. Our ward had a trunk or treat at our church house. Steve walked with the kids while I handed out candy. We made it to a few neighbors houses before Emma decided that we needed to go home.

I know this is a little late but better late than never, right. We have had a crazy week and a half and it all started on Wednesday, Oct 21st.

I had a doctors appointment on Wed and he told me that I was dilated to a 4 and 80% effaced. Which to me was great because I have never been dilated to a 4 on my own. He told us that he thought Emma was going to be a big baby so he had us do a fetal weight ultrasound. The ultrasound said that Emma should weigh 7 lbs. 14 oz. He thought that was big enough so he scheduled to start me on Monday October 26. I was so excited to have all weekend to get my Christmas shopping done. To my surprise, Little Emma had a different idea.

On Thursday I didn't feel that great but I got up and did my normal morning routine off getting ready and getting Riley to school. Ashlyn and I laid around until it was time for me to go to work and Riley to be picked up from school. I talked to my mom for a few minutes and the school and told her how I didn't feel that great but it was probably just cramps.

I dropped the kids off at Bonnie's and got to work around 12:20. By then the pains had increased and I had a hard time doing anything productive at work. At 1:30 I told Brooke that I was going home. I called Steve (who was hunting on some mountain in Hyde Park) and told him that I wasn't feeling good and that I was going home to have a nap. I went and got my kids from Bonnie's and then went to Garry and MaryLynn's to drop off a costume. By then I thought I was going to die. I called Steve and told him that his dad was going to take me to the hospital. If only Garry knew before hand what his day had in store for him. I got registered and taken into my room. I could barely change my clothes and lay on the bed. Not to mention I couldn't get an epidural because I was dilated 10cm and my water was about to break. Dr. Strebel made it to my room about 2 minutes before I delivered Emma. I kept telling that nurses that I needed to push and finally Dr. Strebel told me I could. 2 pushes later Emma entered the world. From the time I laid down on the bed to the time I delivered my beautiful baby girl in 9 minutes. She was born @ 2:37 pm and weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz. (exactly what the ultrasound said) and was 20" long. I had no idea that my day would turn out like that.

We have been so blessed and want to thank everyone for the phone calls, offers to babysit and for bringing us meals. We are so excited to have Emma in our home.

1st Kindergarten Day!!

Today was Riley's 1st unofficial day of Kindergarten. I cannot believe that he is old enough to be going to Kindergarten. His teacher is Mrs. Burningham. She is such an awesome lady and I think he will do great in her class.

He left with a painted picture today and asked me who/what I thought colored it. I had no idea. He told me it was a WORM. She had them roll worms in paint and then put them on their paper and watch them roll around. Crazy.
I am so glad that his 1st unofficial day was good for him.

So I found the cutest hats at the fair this weekend. The company is MaddieMorgan. I bought one for Ashlyn and one for Baby Emma. I thought the hat for Baby Emma would be perfect for when we blessed her.

Tooth Fairy visits once again

Riley has had a loose tooth for a while and now and no matter how many times we have tried to pull it the tooth did not want to come out. Finally on Sunday Steve was able to pull out it; not with the pliers that yes we did try, but with his fingers. Riley was so excited because that meant the tooth fairy was going to bring him money and lots of it. I had to explain to him that the tooth fairy is not rich.

Preschool Graduation!

Riley officially graduated from Preschool on 7/30/2009. We are so very proud of him.

Vegas 09

T-ball Begins!

Riley had his very first t-ball game on Wednesday. He was so excited and he even told us that he likes it a lot more than soccer. Steve was pretty happy about that statement. (Steve hates soccer) I love watching the newbies play. Especially when they bat and then think they need to get the ball instead of running the bases. Riley has another game tonight and hopefully, fingers crossed, it doesn't rain.

IT'S A GIRL!!

So we found out that we are having a girl. We are so excited and so are Riley and Ashlyn. Riley told us that he was mad for a little bit but then he was fine with it. Now we just have to decide on a name.

Steve and I go to the doctor on Wednesday to find out if we are having a boy or a girl. Just about everyone that we have talked to has told us that we are having a girl. We are so excited to find out!

Ashlyn's 3rd Birthday!

Ashlyn turned 3 on Monday. Wow! I can't believe that it has been 3 years since she came into this world. She has definitely been fun. We are so thankful that she is in our lives.

Riley's First Soccer Game!

Riley had his first soccer game on Saturday. He scored 2 goals. One for each team. That's only fair right!?! He has a few friends from church that are on his team.
